Tres Jolie Studios is run by Megan Fizell, who fostered her interest in photography in her father’s basement darkroom. Among the chemicals and red lights she watched as the images appeared on paper as if by magic.
Megan studied fine art at the Flint Institute of Art and in Florence, Italy during her semester abroad. Her studies opened to her a world of colour which carried over into her photographic work along with a desire for symmetry and clean imagery.
Academically Megan attained a bachelor’s of art in History of Art from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art- London. She is the writer and photographer for the food blog Feasting on Art which was called ‘one of the most exciting and interesting food blogs we’ve seen lately’ by The Kitchn.
